One America Committee blog.oneamericacommittee.com/videoblog
The One America Committee says it is "dedicated to helping elect Democratic candidates across the country." The most important Democrat seems to be Senator John Edwards. Remember him? Eight months after the 2004 Presidential election, Senator Edwards launched a video blog. While it is hard to imagine the Senator fiddling around with his computer late at night editing video (he has some professional help on this), it does maintain a grassroots, homemade feeling. Citizens (right now mostly video bloggers) can video tape a question and send it in. Then Sen. Edwards answers the question, also on video. The end result is a time-delayed conversation, or a really long town hall meeting. It is a great application of the vlog concept. And a good indicator that the Internet will continue to be a key tool in politics.

Huckabee wastes no time politicizing terror plot
Wow, it took 20 posts for the Neville-Chamberlin-Betty-Bumpers-unilateral-disamament nuts to start blaming the US for this attack. WW II wasn't our fault, the Soviet Union wasn't our fault, and al Qaida isn't our fault. These people are evil and you can resist or submit. Thankfully a majority of Americans have always chosen to resist. .

Halfway through the animated Tom Hanks film, they left the theater."It wasn't an upbeat Christmas movie, and I could tell he was bored," the Twin Falls woman said.Walker isn't alone in her struggle to find films she considers appropriate for children. Across Magic Valley, parents eye the movie listings and have to make a choice: Do they rely on word of mouth, critics' reviews or detailed ratings before giving Junior the OK?That decision is harder when theaters are full of sex and violence. Hollywood is turning out lots of PG-13 and R-rated movies, and fewer rated G or PG."I've been wanting to take (my son) to a movie for the last month or so but there isn't anything out there I would take him to see," Walker said. The selection isn't a problem for teens or adults, she added. "For the size of the town that we are, there's enough of a variance in the type of movies that they show."Theaters in south-central Idaho are currently playing five PG-rated movies and one G-rated film ("Mr.
Recognition flaps continue for Abenaki Email this page Print this page
Francis Sokoki Band of Missisquoi Abenaki, received an e-mail Feb. 19 from Indian Arts and Crafts Board Program Support Specialist Ken Van Wey, explaining the labeling requirements of the Indian Arts and Crafts Act and telling Larocque to stop advertising his work as an Abenaki product. The board, which is part of the Interior Department, administers the act. The act is a truth-in-marketing law designed to prevent the marketing of art and craft products as ''Indian'' made when they are not made by Indians as defined by the IACA, Van Wey wrote. The board found Larocque's work at the St. Francis Sokoki Band of Abenaki Web site. ''While the IACB has been in communication with the state of Vermont regarding the state recognition of Indian Tribes, and understands that the state of Vermont may be recognizing some groups as Tribes in the near future, you should refrain from selling your work as Indian, Native American, or as the product of a particular Indian Tribe until your group is officially recognized as an Indian Tribe by the state of Vermont or the federal government,'' Van Wey wrote, disregarding Interiors' final determination last July declining to recognize the St.
