I'll calling for a public debate on illegal immigration, and want to invite Ed Sifuentes, Bill Flores from El Grupo, Ruben Navarrette Jr., Ed Morones, and leaders of the local chapters of MEChA and NCLR. I would also like to invite Duncan Hunter, Brian Bilbray, and other media representative as well. In fact I challenge the NCT to put this together for the next Latino Roundtable, so that me and many other concerned Americans can confront this issue. How about it Ed, are you game? This is a joke right? wrote on Feb 16, 2008 12:06 AM:They say it will only be a 'few bad apples?' This is a joke, right? Of course the aliens are complaining about a six month wait (while they collect welfare albeit), cause they don't want their criminal record to pop up before they get their GET IN FREE CARD! Instead, give them a get outta dodge card, don't pass go, don't collect another $200 in this further downgrading of "America".
You know you're form Williamsburg when...
From George Watson. • You remember that before integration, Matthew Whaley housed grades 1-12 for white students and Bruton Heights grades 1-12 for black students. • Eastern State Hospital once occupied all of the property at the corner of Francis Street and Henry Street. • Peninsula Hardware occupied the first floor and the telephone company the second floor in the building on Merchants Square that has been the College Shop. • Merchants Square was the main shopping area for residents. • There were only three motels and some tourist homes to complement Colonial Williamsburg's accomodations. • The Methodist church was on College Corner. • The fire station was on the current site of Season's Restaurant.
So can Boris pull it off? And do the Tories really want him to?
But there is nervousness, too, among the Cameron camp. A column by Philip Stephens in the Financial Times which suggested the leadership would like Johnson to lose narrowly, scaring Livingstone and showing the Tories could score in the capital, has been much discussed at Westminster this week. Few know Cameron's real view and senior figures in the Tory campaign are adamant the speculation is untrue. Some officials say the London election is too singular to draw wider conclusions. But while Johnson is a supporter of Cameron and signed-up moderniser, Crosby's strategy may encourage the view that the party should return to its base to hoover up voters. There is dismay in the Livingstone camp at the relatively easy ride Johnson receives in the media. Their man, they say, is subject to almost daily beatings in the Evening Standard by Andrew Gilligan, the former Today reporter who sparked the David Kelly affair.
Ahmadinejad: Iran ready for talks with US on Iraq
The president said the big powers, being thousands of kilometers away, should avoid interfering in the internal affairs of regional countries and let them run their affairs themselves. He said the region would be more secure and more peaceful without presence of foreigners and "We think a great service the big powers can offer to the region is their respect for the nations' votes and views." He went on to say that regional nations have gained nothing from foreigners' presence but ruins, misery, humiliation and insult. He added, "The big powers themselves, which have come there from thousands of kilometers away, have gained nothing too." He noted that the only thing the big powers have got in the egion is regional people's more hatred of them. Addressing Iraqi and foreign media in Iraq, President said he is visiting Iraq upon an invitation of Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and in response to his earlier Tehran visit.

Electroplating and dyeing units have played havoc with the rivulet. The toxicity in it is affecting the river Sutlej also, to which it is connected. Unless the officials down the line are made personally responsible for its upkeep, they will continue to invent excuses for not stemming the deadly rot. .
Madonna set to tour Down Under, adopt another child
She was, however, happy to talk about her pride at her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next week. "It's 25 years of writing, producing and recording," she said. "That's a long time to do a job well, I might add. "So, yeah - it's a great sense of accomplishment." The Sunday Telegraph was given an exclusive preview of her new album - and it certainly signals a new hip-hop-driven direction for the singer. She collaborated with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Pharrell Williams. The first single, Four Minutes (To Save The World) hits radio this month. "I'm very anxious and nervous and hopeful that people will like it," she said. She is also releasing a feature film (Filth And Wisdom) and a documentary (I Am Because We Are), which tells the story of her adoption of son David Banda from Malawi.
Election 2008: Chua's son among new faces in Johor MCA
JOHOR BARU: It looks like former health minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek will be very much in the campaign spotlight even though he is not contesting. This is because his son, Tee Yong, is hoping to succeed him as Labis MP. This was announced by party president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting here yesterday. Ong will be contesting the Kulai parliamentary seat, moving from Tanjong Piai which he had held for four terms. Speaking after announcing the names of the MCA Johor candidates, Ong was more than willing to comment about his switch, but less so about Tee Yong, declining even to confirm that the young man is indeed Soi Lek's son. To a question about Tee Yong, Ong played coy, replying that the young man was chosen because he had tremendous support from the Labis division.
